Barrack Skills

Postby Vinster on Fri Sep 25, 2009 12:12 pm

This post will be usefull as to not asked constantly what I should upgrade as my levels goes up.

So I'd like to ask you (Hik) if you could make a list of upgrades, in order, so I (and all the rest) can know where to put our skill points as we level up.

Do not spend the skill point you start with.

First 5 levels : Support line : Medical kit Mk1, 2, 3, 4 (5 point commitment)

Next 11 levels : Heavy line : Reflex sight, Foregrip, Machinegun #2 , Stability skill, reload skill. (11 points commitment (reload skill is Tier 1 but get it last))

You are level 16 at this point.

Next 10 levels : Athleticism line : Sprint recovery, Improved hearing, Sprint Endurance, Parachuting, Explosive resistance, Improved health (10 points for all this)

You are now fast on foot and as strong as you could be. You are also at level 26 now.

You need to now get the bipod attachment for the machinegun. You can use the bipod during defense and you will have to learn and find the optimal position for bipod mounted machineguns because you cannot move while it is deployed.. but on the flip side you have almost zero recoil so you are basically a turret (that can die).

Bipod will put you at level 28.

You can then go to the Explosive line and get Anti Personnal mines and Advanced Explosives these two things will cost a total of 3 points (2 + 1). The advanced explosives is very useful.

You will be at level 31.

Keep playing until you get to level 40. After you get to level 40 you would have had plenty of time to see how the machine gun for your current PMC works. As soon as you get to 40 use your 5,000 respec and get everything the same except you will replace the HEAVY line with the Assault Rifle line and max out your assault rifle choices. This way you can try and test out the assault rifles of your current PMC before moving on to the next PMC.

After you respec to Assault rifles and try that, if you like it, stick with it until you have 10,000 respec points total then respec again but this time unlock the sniper line so that you can try all the sniper rifles. Remember when you respec to a sniper you do not need the medical line any longer, take up the Personal Defense line instead.

After youg et tired of the sniper rifle line you can delete your character, start over and make the new elite line I am making if there is still time.

Thank you very much. Now I'll know the order in which I have to upgrade, and can refer to this post anytime rather then my copy/pasted text from the irc chat, haha.
