Self training instrctions for advanced marksmanship

Postby oHIKARUo on Thu Dec 04, 2008 9:51 am

I have developed this training routine for those of you who are already confident with your basic marksmanship skills.

Use the AK102 assault rifle as your primary weapon with the following skill combination (except for TSNE): MONOMANIA Lv 3, QUARTERBACK Lv 3, RUNNER Lv 2 (or TRICKSTER Lv 3, SIXTH SENSE Lv 3 instead of RUNNER).

This way you have a free style setup.

The key to learning how to be effective with this setup is to be confident and competent with your shooting. The AK102 is a great weapon with more power than the M4 and a slightly longer one hit kill range compared to the M4. However, this gun does have a lot of recoil. If you can control your shooting to no more than 2 bullets per burst, you will master the finesse required to fire this weapon effectively without a weapon skill reducing your recoil.

Just remember to be patient and setup a good shot, it only takes 1-2 bullets to kill a player so practice will make perfect. The same concepts from basic marksmanship apply, stop, aim, fire is the same order in which you want to engage an enemy. If you miss don't lay on the trigger, just simply re aim as qickly as possible and try again.

If you guy can master this level of marskmanship you will find that you hardly need to reload at all.

LOL..............Mono3, QB3, Runner2 with the AK 102 was the exact set up I tried in survival last night and my results were much better than they had been last weekend (I think I was top 3 like 5 or 6 times). Medium/longer range I had more head shots than normal.

I also found that the AK is very deadly at close range with auto aim. Very quik to kill a guy that was struggling to line me up. Good set up for games on Ambush Alley was M3, QB3, Surveyor2.

I will not be using the M4 anymore.

The AK is a beast to handle if you are used to laying down the trigger of an M4 while using ASSAULT RIFLE+ Lv 3. The AK really teaches you how to make each shot count. Because of the recoil, the AK102 is harder to use for most people unless they spent time on it. So in TSNE if they end up getting my weapon I can rest assured that their effectiveness should be lowered a bit.

Just remember my basic marksman training I gave (most) all of you Make each shot count, take your time learning how to shoot well then a quick snap shot is easier to pull off in a pinch.

I know i'm deadly but i rather use my M4 or XM8 because less power and i like bursting.
Little tip if you wanna save your skill slots for something better like run3 or whatever in every DP game us the M4 with a grip which is exactly like the M4 with ar3 except the reload time. (Hikaru)
